How To Choose Home Water Purifiers
Before you spent the money to provide for the health of your family, educate your self and make sure you are getting the best product on the market and for affordable price. If you are like me, you should be very concerned with the quality of water drinking and bathing. There may be nothing more important to our health than the purity of water. Have you ever left a few drops of tap water in a glass on the table to come back to a dried residue of sediment? This sediment should not be in your body. Some comprehensive studies are now showing that there are over 2,100 toxic chemicals in our drinking water that can cause cancer. The studies show that we each may drink more than 450 pounds of raw metal and sediment during the course of our lifetimes! The human body cannot use the majority of this inorganic materials in our tap water. People think that they are protecting themselves by drinking bottled water though it's costs is more per gallon than gasoline. Bottled water, because it is classified as a "food", falls under the standards of US Food and Drug Administration. The FDA itself makes an authoritative statement: "Companies that market bottled water as being safer than tap water are defrauding the American public". Some tests like for Cryptosporidium in the water (a parasite) aren't even recommended for bottled water. In a study made by the NRDC which showed that about 20% of bottled water testing contained higher than acceptable bacterial counts. So, what's the solution if you want to protect the health of you and your family? The answer is the use of a home water filtration system. There are many filtration systems that you can find on the market today. You should understand though that more expensive not necessarily mean better. Many home water purifiers are called "reverse osmosis" systems or "distilled water". These systems have major drawbacks. Also, they are definitely not the optimal choice because although they can do a pretty good job of removing contaminants, they also remove the beneficial minerals that are vital to our health. Our bodies need water that contains various important minerals such as calcium, magnesium, potassium and many more. Nowhere on earth was demineralized water appear naturally. Many water purification systems that remove toxic contaminants do not employ multi-stage filtration. That mean some of the worst toxic contaminants are not filtered out and you may still be drinking that bad stuff you are trying to avoid. Some subpar filters will fail to safequard against chlorine, lead, and volatile organic chemicals. Many of us don't even consider the quality of water we cook food with or the water we shower or bathe in. Pure water is very beneficial for the skin. It's even more important that if you bathe in a purified water, if you suffer from dryness or any other condition or skin disorder. Now that you are armed with this information in the light of what you have just learned, compare home water purifiers. I am sure that you soon will realize that among numerous mediocre product there is just a handful of really good ones that have exceptional quality and are worthy of your time, money and effort.
